Students at the University of Calgary are being told to be on alert about a man who is reportedly taking compromising videos of female students.

At about 12:30 p.m. on April 7, a young woman was walking from the Swann Mall to the Professional Faculties Building when she noticed a man following her.

As she got to the doors, she noticed the man had a smartphone in his hand and it was positioned in such a way that it was under her skirt.

The victim turned to confront him about it, causing him to drop the phone, which she noticed was set to a video recording mode.

The male quickly picked up his phone and fled the scene.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 20 to 25 years old
  • Approximately 5’4”
  • Slim build
  • Long dark brown hair, pulled back in a ponytail
