A pedestrian suffered numerous injuries following an early afternoon collision with a tractor-trailer unit in the southeast.

EMS spokesperson Adam Loria says a paramedic crew responded to the intersection of Blackfoot Trail and 46 Avenue Southeast shortly after noon following reports of a crash involving a truck and a pedestrian.

A woman, believed to be in her thirties, was transported by ambulance to the Foothills Medical Centre in stable, non-life threatening condition. According to EMS, the woman suffered various soft tissue and internal injuries.

The Calgary Police Service traffic unit is investigating the crash.
