Gord Ferguson, an instructor at the Alberta College of Art & Design, has been relieved of his position following a controversial ‘art performance’ by a student in the school’s cafeteria.

On Thursday April 18, 2013, a student conducted a live demonstration about where food comes by killing and processing a chicken.

ACAD officials will not comment on the matter stating Ferguson’s firing was a personnel and legal matter

CTV Calgary contacted Gord Ferguson.  He confirmed he was fired by the school but he would not comment on the circumstances surrounding his dismissal.
