There's been another case of food tampering at the Co-op at Oakridge Centre.

Store officials say just before opening on Thursday, some deli cheese items and flatbread packages in the bakery were found with metal pins pushed into them.

This is the third similar incident to happen at the store.

"We continue to do searches every day, and many times a day, so we can make sure there is nothing more in the product. And their searches did turn up things this morning," says Sarah Boutron, a spokesperson for Co-op.

Calgary police are investigating but so far no charges have been laid.

Investigators say this is a complicated investigation but they have suspects in mind. What they need now is more help from the public. "The lack of public tips is definitely a little bit of a holdback," says Staff Sergeant Don Coleman from the Calgary Police Service.

Store officials say security has been increased since the first incident and they are working closely with police to catch the culprit.

Anyone who purchased a product from the store and are unsure about its safety can return it for a full refund.
