Calgary police have issued a warning after an attempted abduction on Monday.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. at Pineland Road and 28 Avenue, N.E.
Police say a 14-year-old girl was waiting at a bus stop when a man in a white van pulled over and started talking to her. Moments later he tried to grab her.
Someone saw what was happening and yelled at the man. He let go of the girl, got into his van and drove away.
Police are now looking for the suspect who is described as White, between the ages of 35 and 40 and about 173 cm (5'8") tall. He has a mustache and a blondish-white, mullet-style haircut. At the time of the attempted abduction he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a red baseball hat.
