Police in Regina say they are now working with Calgary police on the case.

The alleged victim, who used to live in Calgary, was dumped off at a Regina hospital on April 16th. He'd been beaten, burned, starved, and mutilated.

The family of the 26-year-old believes his Calgary roommate is responsible for the devastating injuries but so far no one has been charged.

Te man had been living and working in Calgary but disappeared from the city in January.

"We are investigating an allegation of aggravated assault," says Insp. Marlo Prtichard from the Regina Police Service. "We are working with outside agencies – specifically the Calgary Police Service – and if anybody has any information we would like to hear from you."

Police are still trying to figure out what happened to the man prior to ending up in a Regina hospital.
