The wife of a doctor convicted of sexual assault is now on trial herself.
Erica Levin is accused of jury tampering.
The 70-year-old woman is charged with trying to bribe a juror during Dr. Aubry Levin’s trial.
Monday, the prosecution laid out its case again Erica Levin.
Jurors have been shown surveillance video from the Calgary Courts Centre and the 6th Street LRT Platform from January, 2013 – the day Levin is accused of offering money to a juror.
Tuesday, the juror Erica Levin is accused of trying to bribe was on the stand and told the court that Mrs. Levin approached her and offered her a white envelope. She told the court that she was offered $1000 if she fould Dr. Levin not guilty.
The juror in question was excused from Dr. Levin’s trial after she came forward with her allegations.
Dr. Aubry Levin was convicted of three counts of sexual assault against male patients and was sentenced to five years in prison.
