Police in Lethbridge have taken a man into custody in connection to the death of nine-month-old Austin Wright who died in an area hospital in April.
Police were called to a home in the 600 block of 17 Street N. on April 28 for reports of a baby in medical distress.
The little boy was not breathing when he was found by paramedics and was in cardiac arrest.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and an autopsy determined that he died from blunt force trauma.
Police say Austin’s injuries were not consistent with a fall and his death was deemed a homicide.
On Wednesday, police arrested a man without incident in the case and say charges are pending.
