Calgary police say a young boy who hadn't been seen in two weeks has been located.

The 12 year old was last seen in the community of Pineridge.

Police say he had been in contact with his family until he was reported missing on Monday.

While there was nothing to indicate foul play, police said on Wednesday his family was concerned for his well-being.

On Friday, police announced the boy had been located safe.
