Canmore RCMP has arrested a suspect in connection with a firearms incident that took place on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 12:20 p.m., police were called to a home on 7 Street between 8 and 5 Avenue after witnesses reported hearing a gunshot.
Police attending the scene found a bullet hole in one of the windows of the home, but was unable to find anyone inside.
During the course of the investigation, police locked down a middle school to ensure the safety of the students from the possible shooter.
Canmore RCMP says that the suspect was identified and arrested later on Tuesday evening.
The suspect has not been identified and there are no details on charges at this time.
