Police have now charged a 26-year-old Calgary man in connection with a series of break-ins in the southeast section of the city.

Last week, police was seeking the public’s help in finding the person responsible for a series of break-ins in Acadia.

Police said that a number of homes were broken into between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. early in October.

Their evidence indicated that the suspect accessed the homes through the patio doors.

On October 11, police arrested a man without incident.

Tyler Lee Wapegan has since been charged with seven counts of break and enter.

Residents are being reminded to ensure that all entrances into their homes are secured and to immediately report any suspicious activity to police.

Police also say it is important to secure patio doors on condo units because some thieves employ ladders or climb from balcony to balcony.
