Police reopened 4 Avenue S.E. in Calgary but are continuing to investigate a suspicious package that was discovered near a loading dock on Thursday evening.
Police tell CTV Calgary that they have deployed the Tactical Team's robot to inspect the package, found in the 100 block of 4 Avenue S.E.
Traffic has been reopened in the area, but a sidewalk in the vicinity is still closed while officers continue with the investigation.
Westbound traffic on 4 Avenue S.E. was re-routed for about an hour, causing huge backups along the flyover and on Memorial Drive.
