Calgary police are looking for six people connected to a pair of home invasions overnight in the northwest.

Officers are currently at the scene of a home in Citadel Peak, after reports of three masked men, armed with knives and guns, broke in and threatened the residents inside.

They were called there at about 3:40 a.m.

Police say a man from that home was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Another resident who was home at the time was not injured.

There are indications that the home was targeted because of drugs, but that hasn’t been confirmed by police.

Investigators are searching for the suspects and haven’t said if anything was taken from the home.

This isn't the only home invasion police are currently investigating either.

Late Wednesday night, police were called to a home in Edgemont, just minutes away from the Citadel scene.

In that incident, police say three masked men entered a townhome on Edgeburn Lane, armed with knives at about 11:30 p.m.

Five people were inside the home at the time, but no one was injured.

Police say that two pit bull puppies were taken from the home.

They are also looking for those suspects, but don’t believe the two incidents are related.
