After several years of construction The Bow is finally ready for new tenants and the first group of employees from Cenovus Energy moved in on Monday.
Cenovus employees unpacked boxes and starting setting up the many floors that the company will occupy.
The company’s new offices will include three full-sized kitchens and other amenities for its 2100 employees who will be moving into the building over the next few months.
“We’re going to be moving 2100 people. It’s going to take about 14 weeks in moves to move everybody into the building. We still have floors 23 to 28 of our space, to be turned over to us and so we anticipate that we will be completed our moves by the end of the year,” said Denise Froese, Cenovus Director Administrative Services.
The site covers two city blocks and is the first major office tower development east of Centre Street.
The new building has 1.9 million square feet of rentable space spread over 58 stories.
The Bow’s main tower is 236 metres high, is the tallest office building in western Canada and boasts three sky gardens for employees to use.
The $4.1 billion building will also be home to gas giant EnCana who will begin moving in this October.
