Calgary police are investigating an early morning collision which sent a pickup truck off the road and tumbling down a hill, before coming to a rest on its roof.

The crash occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on northbound 14 St. N.W. just south of Berkshire Blvd.

According to police, the pickup truck clipped a car and the impact of the collision caused the pickup driver to lose control of his vehicle.

The pickup crossed the centre median and rolled down a hill near Nose Hill Park.

The two occupants of the pickup truck, the male driver and a female passenger, both believed to be in their thirties, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by EMS.
