The City of Calgary is kicking off its annual job fair in grand style, offering thousands of summer jobs for students.

80 employers will be in attendance at the fair held at the Big Four building on Stampede Park from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

"The hiring fair is a major event for job seeking youth in the city," says Leita Blasetti, a community liaison with the Youth Employment Centre.

The jobs are aimed at youth aged 15-24 and consist of all fields: recreation, retail, trades, logistics, financial, and marketing.

Youth are encouraged to bring their resumes and have questions ready for prospective employers.

The city said in a release that there is also a chance to win an iPad.

Over 5,300 youth attended the fair in 2011.
