1 person killed in highway crash south of Calgary
Emergency crews respond to a fatal collision on northbound Highway 2 near Aldersyde, Alta., on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023.
One person was killed in a crash south of Calgary near Okotoks on Thursday.
The collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck happened on northbound Highway 2 near 370 Avenue S.E. at around 10:30 a.m.
RCMP say the crash killed the 75-year-old driver of the pickup truck, a resident of High River, Alta.
The driver of the semi wasn't injured.
The crash caused the closure of northbound Highway 2 which is closed at Highway 547 near Aldersyde.
