Police have charged a woman in connection to a food tampering case at a Calgary Co-op.
Tatyana Granada, 43, is charged with mischief over $5,000.
"We are relieved to learn that police have made an arrest," says Deane Collinson, chief executive officer of Calgary Co-op. "This situation has been very hard on our customers and our employees, who take great pride in their jobs and their store."
The charges are connected to a food tampering incident at the Oakridge Co-op last week.
Store officials say just before opening on Thursday, some deli cheese items and flatbread packages in the bakery were found with metal pins pushed into them.
There have been two other cases of food tampering at that same store are police trying to determine if Granada had any connection to these incidents.
Investigators say Granada is not an employee, and has never been an employee, of Co-op.
