Officials at the Calgary Stampede are working overtime to clean up the grounds in preparation for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth next month, but they are also doing their part to help in flood relief.

Playing on the battle cry from Stampede Board Chairman Bob Thompson, who vowed that the show would go on ‘come hell or high water’, the Calgary Stampede is offering tshirts with the slogan emblazoned on the front.

Proceeds from each t-shirt will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Floods Fund, which is actively providing relief to flood victims.

“The phrase “Hell or High Water” suddenly appeared in social media attached to our brand,” says Deanne Carson, vice-president marketing and external relations, Calgary Stampede. “It has really become a tagline to the optimism, power and resiliency of the community to get the job done no matter what obstacles we face.”

Millions of gallons of water have already been pumped out of parking lots and the rodeo infield over the past two days.

The tshirts will be sold online through the Stampede Store for $19.95 and will be available for distribution on June 26.
