The Calgary Flames have granted Theoren Fleury the opportunity he has been waiting for.

On Saturday morning, the 41-year-old former Flame attended the club's training camp on a tryout basis.

Fluery was at the Saddledome along with Flames veterans for fitness testing and medicals.

Fluery began his amazing NHL career in Calgary back in 1988.

He hopes this is where he can re-start his career.

He has been absent from the league for six years.

He played 11 seasons with the Flames and was granted reinstatement by the NHL and the Players Association on Thursday.

Fluery says he's thankful for the chance to make a comeback with the Flames.
