Fire fighters spent several hours airing out the Sysco Foods warehouse in southeast Calgary after an ammonia leak forced its evacuation.
Six people in the building fled at 6:15 am on Sunday due to the leak, possibly from a refrigeration unit.
No one was injured, but the building was not safe to enter until the leak was cleared. The enormous size of the warehouse meant the venting took several hours.
Multiple fire trucks and the Haz Mat unit were called to deal with the incident.
