Two RCMP members are facing charges in an incident that happened while on duty and have been suspended from the force.
RCMP constables Greg Cutcliffe and Jeremiah Dumon-Fontaine are both charged with one count of being unlawfully in a dwelling contrary to section 349 (1) and one count of Obstructing Justice 139(2) respectively.
RCMP officials say the charges are the result of an RCMP investigation into an on-duty related incident that happened on June 26, 2013 involving an unrelated civilian.
Both officers have been suspended from duty while they await a resolution of the charges against them.
An internal RCMP Code of Conduct investigation has been also been ordered.
Both officers will make a first appearance in Canmore Provincial Court on August 13, 2014.
