Inn from The Cold lost the use of one of its vans after thieves tried to hot-wire it on Monday evening.
The van is critical to the charity’s operations on a daily basis for a broad number of duties such as
- Picking up food from the Food Bank
- Helping families move from shelter to homes
- Delivering Christmas presents for Adopt-a-family
- Collecting donations
The van that was broken into has been rendered useless. The charity has a second small vehicle donated from ATB Financial, but it’s not large enough to take over all of the duties that the van was used for.
Inn from The Cold is putting out a call to anyone who can donate their time to repair the van, or if anyone can help replace it.
