Travel on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Revelstoke, B.C. has been halted in both directions due to a high avalanche hazard.
According to Drive B.C., the highway is currently closed between Craigellachie and Revelstoke. Traffic is being detoured around the closure.
The Trans-Canada Highway is expected to reopen Thursday morning.
